Juan de Fuca 47k Trail Run
This past weekend a small group of ‘crazies’ set out to run the Juan de Fuca Trail in its entirety. The trail runs 47 kilometers from Bamfield south to China Beach on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The trail is commonly referred to as the West Coast Trail’s little brother but this is misleading, the trail is just as technical and difficult. At least three athletes have written accounts from their runs: Donald Peterson (Juan de Fuca Trail ), Jeff Hunt (Juan de Fuca 47k Trail Run) and Carlos Castillo (Storming the JDFT Run Report 2008 ).
