I just learned of Dave’s passing today. I raced against him on many occasions and I was always remember him as a tough competitor who you could count on to push you to your limits. His enthusiasm and passion for running were qualities that consistently poured out of him anytime I talked to him at races. He truly loved to run. I am shocked and saddened that he will no longer be around. My sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

If a few people commented, then you know many times that number of people had the pleasure to know Dave.

This thing was also at Flotrack, where it originally was posted. Bob and Nancy’s comments were on the Prairie Inn Harriers site as well. This is reproduced here of course and in print in the Prairie Inn Harriers newsletter.

BC Athletics posted a nice message about Dave too.

Nice guy, taken too early from us. I am glad I got to know him the amount I did….

This site was passed on to me by one of my ‘friends’… These are the first tears I’ve cried….
I can’t put to words the heart felt Thanks and pure Love I feel for all who have cared enough to give their moments to Dave, in the time when it REALY meant the most to Him, and his family.
