Become a 2010 Olympic Torchbearer

Interested in becoming a part of the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay? Well you now can. Relay organizers are now accepting applications to be a torchbearer. Anyone can apply, as long as they agree to make a personal pledge to do something in their daily life to make Canada a better place to live.

The relay will occur over 100 days leading up to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and will involve over 12,000 Canadians. Already since last Friday when the application process went online, 5,000-7,000 people have applied each day. When the application process concludes organizers expect around 2 million applications in total.

To apply go to http://www.rbc.com/carrythetorch
