Jul 26 – Mt. Douglas Gutbuster 004 – Victoria

Location: Mt. Douglas, Victoria, BC
Start/Finish: Mt. Douglas Regional Park
Course Description: SHORT COURSE - A 6km run up to the top of Mt. Douglas (200m) for an amazing view over Victoria. Filled with great flowing single-track trails that is ideal for both runners and hikers.

LONG COURSE - 11km that features three summits to the top of Mt. Douglas. Each time will leave your breathless by both the views and the workout! You’re going to to LOVE this course!

Check In: 8:30-9:30 am (please don’t be late)
Distance: Short Course – 6 km
Regular Course – 11 km
Race Starts: 10:00 am for the regular course and 10:05 for the short course
Course Closes: 12:30 pm
Directions: Follow Pat Bay Highway (#17) from the ferry. Take a left onto Cordova Bay Road and follow it until you reach the park. When you get to Ash Road the start is on your right hand side. Try to carpool as parking may be limited. Location Map to Mt. Douglas

For racers coming from Vancouver, you can catch the 7:00am ferry from Tsawassen on the morning of the race. The race start is approximately 20 minutes from the ferry terminal so you will arrive with plenty of time to register and for a warmup. For more info, go towww.bcferries.com.

3. Drop off your entry at Frontrunners in Victoria, Nanaimo or Langford (must be dropped off by Thursday before race day). 
4. Come early on Race Day
Entry Fees : Entry Fees
Team Category : Individual members running for a club will score for their clubs total. The club with the highest point totals at the end of the series will win a club social night at Frontrunners in Langford sponsored by The North Face. The evening will include drinks, appies, 25% store discount and North Face draw prizes.
Showers/Toilets: No showers. A public restroom is located close to the race course.
Awards: Awards will be presented at 12:00pm or immediately following the last racer. Tons of draw prizes including footwear and apparel from The North Face.
Refreshments: Hydro Boom drink (by Carb-Boom) plus plenty of cookies, fruit and bagels will be available following the race.
Lunch: Post race brunch at the Maude Hunters Pub, proud supporter of the GutBuster Trail Running Series
