A 5000 meter (5k) track race is currently being organized by Victoria’s Christopher Kelsall in order to raise funds for the Easter Seals. The race will take place this Friday, May 15th, 7:00pm at the Oak Bay Track. Details are as follows:

- Open race for everyone starts at 7:00 pm sharp
- Elite Women? (Fingers crossed, tell all the ladies!)
- Elite Men.
- Friday May, 15th – Next Friday!

- TImed, splits provided and results
- Some draw prizing (working on that now)
- $5 or donation to compete – 100% to Easter Seals.

- Timed with results and splits – a limited frills race – keeping it simple.

Come race, time trial, tempo or pace someone. Or come watch and cheer and or volunteer. Take photos or video or operate the Flotrack Cam for me.

*** Get your running friends to sign-up and or volunteer a prize as a prizing sponsor you will get notable mention – anything will do! It’s all for the kids!***

Email me (chriskelsall@flocasts.org) or call me with questions. 250-812-7118

Elite athletes: I will split the race if enough elite and sub-elite runners register  – a cut-off time will be determined on the total number of runners.

This race is now BC Athletics sanctioned.

    Timed, results, splits.

For us mere mortals who can run under 15 minutes, the elite race will be fun to watch. For everyone wanting to race a fast 5k, well you can get faster than a track race!

    Come on out!
