PROJECT TRACK 21 (renovation of Parkland’s Track) – “Kick-Off Fund-Raising BBQ” – bring your family!!

Date: Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm

Place: Parkland High School Track, 10640 McDonald Park Road, Sidney BC, V8L 5S7

Entertainment: – the Parkland Jazz Band; the marimba band MUFARO http://mufaro.ca/index.html ; roaming news media; information kiosk on the new track facility; and many sports demonstrations by athletes of all ages.

Food: Enjoy a hamburger or hot dog, veggies, fruit, coffee, tea or juice and a slice of cake for a minimum donation of $10 per person. All proceeds will be going towards the Project Track 21 Fund!

Project Track 21 is seeking to raise $3 million to renovate the track, install an artificial turf infield for soccer and football, build a proper set of stands with full seating, washrooms, storage and concession facilities, etc., and put in flood lighting so that there can be extended use of this new 21st century recreational facility for the whole community – youth, adults, families and seniors.
