The 21st Annual Victoria International Track Classic will be held on Wednesday June 10 at UVic Centennial Stadium from 7 pm – 9 pm. Following on from the success from previous years, the Track Classic will feature an array of national and international talent from the world of athletics.

“This year’s Track Classic will be an opportunity to see some of our top Olympians from Beijing competing against those up and coming athletes who are looking towards London 2012,” says Brent Fougner, President of the Victoria International Running Society, who stage the competition every year.

“Athletics Canada is looking for the next Gary Reed or Diane Cummins and events like the Track Classic expose those people to international competition. On June 10th we hope to see our veterans performing their best, but also see who will break through from the next level of athlete onto the scene.”
