Canadians Raise Over $30 million for Breast Cancer in 2011 CIBC Run for the Cure

British Colombians raised over $3.6 million dollars yesterday in the CIBC Run for the Cure. The event saw more than 13,000 participant nationally raise $30 million in the annual fundraising event for Breast Cancer Research. In BC 25,000 took part, including an estimated 10,000 runners and walkers in the Vancouver event alone.

The money raised goes towards initiatives in breast cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and research.
