Seek the Peak

seekthepeakCongratulations to all the teams and solo runners that took part in the Seek the Peak last weekend.

This classic Vancouver race offers brave participants a total of 16km of climbing, with a total elevation of 4100 feet from sea level at Ambleside, right up to the Peak of Grouse Mountain, and back to the chalet. And, of course, huge bragging rights!

If you’re not quite ready for the full 16k, you can enter as a relay. The race can be split into four legs: Ambleside to the Capilano Paciifc Trail, Capilano to the base of Grouse, the Grind, and leg four is from the chalet to The Peak and back.

The solo male winner was Damien Humbert with an amazing 1:22:01 (in the 20-29 category). The fastest female, Brooke Spence, wasn’t far behind with 1:36:46.

The fastest relay time, ‘This One’s for Al’, came in at 1:33:58.
