Thinking of creating an online training journal?

Why be a part of a large faceless blogging website when you can instead join our local British Columbia athlete blogging community at trainharder.com. Here you will get increased exposure from other local athletes.

If interested send a note via the contact page.

Help make this THE place for BC athlete blogs.

If you need even more convincing consider the latest development regarding blogger.com and its recent move to no longer allow links to non-Blogger sites in comments. Is this Google’s way (owner of Blogger.com) of striking a blow against other blogging platforms like Wordpress and Typepad or even this site?

So why should you care you might ask? As one online blogger has complained, “Blogging is a very give and take relationship”. With the ability to receive comments from visitors, bloggers have no feedback. And those that do comment get the exposure for their own site from the writer’s existing audience.

And from another user - “This move goes against the basic nature of blogging, that of bloggers linking to each other in the spirit of give and take and community building. How can you build up a relationship with another blogger if you do not know where to find them.”

What to do about it? Well, you could write to the folks that run the show, but will they listen? Or you can move (or start up your new blog) to this site.
